I don't know. . . when the subject of diamonds comes up, I would say that the safest approach is for the wife to get one from the husband at the nearest big occasion like anniversary, Christmas, or birthday. Just in case it actually matters a little bit. Diamonds aren't really that expensive, and they have much symbolism. Just because you have one doesn't mean you have to wear it all the time.

But you two are indeed awesome and have your values in exactly the right places. I can't get over how pleased I am with both of you, and how lucky I feel to have you in my life. Of course I am a parental unit, and this can be expected from me. But still.
