* snow *
It's snowing on Mount Hood today, even though it's in the 50s in Portland. Everyone who lives and works on the mountain looks excited on the evening news. I'm excited. I went skiing for the first time in years last winter, and I didn't get started until way too late in the season. I think I'll try to go by mid-November this year. I'd also like to take a trip to Bend for a weekend before the end of January. I love snow!

I love the snow too. Meanwhile, it got up to 87 degrees here today. It's October (Rabbit rabbit), it's supposed to be getting cold!

Ben laughs whenever I say "rabbit rabbit." It hasn't really gotten that cold for us - 50s and low 60s - but we're at a lower elevation. The top of the big mountain has snow year round, and it starts getting pretty cold up there right around now.
