This is day 40-something of rain. The weather isn't affecting my mood as severely as it seems to be affecting some of my colleagues, but the dark skies are making me very sleepy. I've been having a hard time getting up when I'd like in the morning, which is too bad because I prefer to have time to read the paper, surf the web and drink a cup of coffee before I head in to work.

Do you remember going to school in the dark in the winter in Norway?

I do remember. And I remember playing in the yard until after 10 p.m. and not realizing how late it was because the sky was still light. I don't remember how the dark Norwegian winter skies affected my sleeping habits, though.
